Mrs. Margaret Sadler, Johnson, 79, of 3023 Clarendon Rd. died Dec. 11, 1989, at Stanly Manor Nursing Home in Albemarle. Funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation is at the church after the service. Hankins, Whittington & Williams-Dearborn Funeral Home is in charge.

Mrs. Johnson, a Charlotte native, was a retired Celanese Corp. receptionist. She was a graduate of Mount Amoena Seminary for Women, a member of the League of Women Voters and a former officer of Business and Professional Women.

Survivors are her husband, Paul; sons, Philip Johnson of Martinsville, Va., Frank Johnson of Statesville, Gregory Johnson of Pensacola, Fla., Paul Johnson of Monroe, Harry Johnson, Edward Johnson; daughter, Mrs. Mary Cawn of Greensboro; brother, W.A. Shulenberger Jr.; half sister, Mrs. Betty Snow; 13 stepgrandchildren.
