Amick – Paul Rites Announced

BLACKSBURG, Aug. 20 – Mrs. B. L. Amick has announced the marriage of her daughter, Edith Ellen, to William Paul, of Charlotte, N. C. The ceremony was performed Saturday, August 13, at York. Mrs. Paul is well known in Blacksburg and Gaffney, her former home. Mr. Paul is an employee of the Charlotte post office.

Edythe Paul

Graveside services for Edythe Amick Paul, 77, of 716 Sipes St., who died Sunday in the Kings Mountain Convalescent Center after extended illness, were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. from Mountain View Cemetery in Blacksburg, S. C. by Rev. Susan Asheworth.

A native of Concord and formerly of Blacksburg, S. C., she was a retired licensed practical nurse at Kings Mountain Hospital and a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Blacksburg.

She was the daughter of the late Brown Leroy Amick and Elizabeth Amick and wife of the late William Joseph Paul.

Gordon’s Mortuary in Blacksburg, S. C. was in charge of arrangements.
