MISS LUCILE BEATTY
Miss Lucile Beatty, of 517 East Boulevard, died Thursday, February 1, 1979, in a local hospital. Miss Beatty was born January 24, 1896, in New London, N. C., daughter of the late John Franklin and Martha Barrier Beatty. Miss Beatty was a graduate of Central High School and Mont Amoena Seminary, Mount Pleasant, N. C. She was associated with Montaldo’s Women’s Apparel for the past 35 years. She was a long time member and Past President of Ever Ready Sunday School Class at St. Marks Lutheran Church. She was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church. Funeral service, 2:00 P. M., Saturday, February 3, 1979, at St. Marks Lutheran Church, conducted by Dr. Carveth Mitchell, Minister of St. Marks Lutheran Church, with interment in Elmwood Cemetery. Miss Beatty is survived by one brother, Paul B. Beatty, Sr., and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be the nephews of Miss Beatty. Memorials may be sent to the Lutheran Group Homes, 425 Pecan Avenue, Charlotte, N. C. 28204. The family will receive friends at the Harry & Bryant Chapel Friday evening between the hours of 7:30 and 9:00 P. M. Harry & Bryant Company is serving the family of Miss Beatty.
