Ridgecrest Teachers
Mrs. Virginia Rinehardt

“I really enjoy working with the people of Ridgecrest community.” These words were spoken by a woman who has had a teacher-community relationship at Ridgecrest for the past eighteen years, Mrs. Virginia Cline Rinehardt.

Mrs. Rinehardt grew up in Cabarrus County, near Concord. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Cline.

Mrs. Rinehardt graduated from Mont Amoena Seminary at Mount Pleasant. She took all of her college training at Catawba College in Salisbury. While there, she was a member of the dramatics club and the chorus.

Mrs. Rinehardt taught five years before marrying Clay Rinehardt, who now works with Southern Railway Company. They have one son, Timothy Clay, Jr., who graduated from Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Fla., and is now an interior decorator in Winston-Salem.

Mrs. Rineardt is a member of the Cold Springs Methodist Church where she has served as Sunday School teacher and a member of the choir. She is a charter member of the Women’s Society for Christian Service.

Aside from her teaching duties, Mrs. Rinehardt has been of invaluable service to the school in serving as chairman of the finance committee for the PTA for a number of years.

Mrs. Rinehardt

CONCORD – Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Cline Rinehardt, of Twin Maples Farm, Route 4, will be conducted at held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cold Springs United Methodist Church, of which she was a member. The Rev. Rick Mills and the Rev. George Clay, Sr. will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The body will remain at Wilkinson’s Funeral Home until taken to the church at the funeral hour. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 until 9 p.m. today.

Mrs. Rinehardt died at 8:15 am. Monday at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. A retired school teacher, she had taught in the Cabarrus and Stanly Counties Schools for thirty years.

Mrs. Rinehardt was a native of Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Jake C. Cline and Mrs. Viola Petrea Cline. She was a charter member of the United Methodist Women at the Cold Springs Church and held various offices in the organization. Her husband, T. Clay Rinehardt, died May 20, 1977.

Surviving are one son, T. C. Rinehardt, Jr., of the home and one sister, Mrs. Clyde (Ruth) Plot of Concord.
