…Class Night…
…Nor was this thoughtful class unmindful of those who were following in their footsteps, their kind instructors and many friends in town, so in a document that surpasses any lawyer, Misses Oilie Blume and Mary Corriher, gave the final will of the class. Everything belonging to class, from the streets in Mt. Pleasant to the dining table, was generously bequeathed to different friends, even members of the class were freely given to the opposite sex. A more lavish will could not be devised…

WEDDING AT ENOCHVILLE
Miss Mary Belle Corriher, of Morresville, Becomes the Wife of Mr. O. L. Linn, of Landis.
Landis, August 30. – At St. Enoch Lutheran church at Enochville Wednesday evening at half past 6 o’clock Miss Mary Belle Corriher, of Morresville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Corriher, was married to Mr. O. L. Linn, of Landis. A large crowd of friends witnessed the ceremony, performed by Rev. J. L. Morgan, former pastor of the bride, assisted by Rev. J. L. Bowers, pastor of the groom. The church was tastefully decorated with lighted colored candles, evergreens, ferns, and other beautiful flowers.
As Mrs. L. A. Corriher, sister of the groom, struck from the organ the chords of Lohengrin’s “Bridal Chorus,” the ushers, Messrs. Frank E. Wright and Will Lorance, followed by the attendants, Miss Kate Sloop and Mr. Sam Corriher, Miss Ola Linn and Mr. Frend Shepherd, led the bride, leaning on the arm of her sister, Miss Ethel Corriher, maid of honor, and the groom attended by his brother, Mr. Luther Linn, best man into the presence of the ministers. After the ceremony was performed the bridal party marched out to the strains of Mendelssohn.
The bride wore a dainty dress of white batiste trimmed in cluny lace, bearing in her arm a load of carnations and maiden hair fern, her beautiful veil caught up with a wreath of orange blossoms. The maid of honor wore a white dress, the bride’s maids wore white over pink, all carrying beautiful flowers.
Before the ceremony the guests were ushered into the beautifully decorated dining room of the bride’s home, where they were served a generous repast. The handsome bridal presents consisting of cut glass, silver ware, etc., shows the popularity of the young couple among their friends.
The happy couple was driven to the station and left for Jamestown, Washington and other points.
The remaining party repaired to the home of the groom’s father, Mr. C. A. Linn, where they partook of the bounteous refreshments awaiting them.
The out-of-town guests were Misses Hazel and Ruth Moses, of Greenville, S. C.
Miss Corriher is an attractive and accomplished young lady. Mr. Linn is connected with the firm of Linn Bros., and is a young man of worth and promise.
