Miss Neva Euliss and Arthur Crawley Wed in Asheville
The following from HIckory will be of interest here since the bride was originally from Alamance county, and is a grand daughter of Mrs. T. L. Moser, of Burlington.
The wedding of Miss Neva Euliss, of Hickory, and Mr. Arthur Crowley, of Morganton, was solemnized Saturday, June 15, in Asheville. The Rev. H. F. Mayer, Lutheran pastor of that city, officiated using the impressive ring ceremony of the Lutheran church.
The bride was lovely in the cornflower blue crepe suit with white accessories and the shoulder bouquet of gardenias and lilies of the valley. The only attendants for the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Granklin, Jr., of Hickory. The latter is a sister of the bride.
The couple left Asheville for a wedding trip through the mountains of western North Carolina and Cherokee Indian reservation.
Mrs. Crawley is the second daughter of Alfred Von Euliss and the late Mrs. Leona Amelia Euliss of Hickory. She received her education at Mount Amonea (sic), Mt. Pleasant, and Lenoir Rhyne college, Hickory. For the past several years she has been in the teaching profession in Catawba, Burke and Davidson counties. She has been a member of the faculty of Arcadia High School, Davidson county, for the past nine seasons, where she has a wide circle of friends.
Mr. Crawley is the third son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Crawley, of Morganton Route 1. He received his education in the county schools, and is connected with the State Highway commission as foreman of the Burke county prisoners.
After July 1, Mr. and Mrs. Crawley will reside in Morganton.
