“Mr. and Mrs. Paul A. Hahn announce the marriage of their daughter, Stella Blanch, to Charles A. Cook, on Wednesday, June twenty-fifth, nineteen hundred and twenty-four, Concord, North Carolina. At home after July 1st, 128 West Depot street, Concord, North Carolina.”
Miss Hahn and Mr. Cook were married at the parsonage of St. James Lutheran church by the pastor of the church, Rev. L. A. Thomas. The marriage came as a surprise to the many friends of the couple, only a few being advised in advance.
Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Cook left on their wedding trip, motoring to eastern North Carolina.

In 1940, Charles & Stella resided at 134 W. Depot St. in Concord. Charles worked in the City Tax Office, and Stella managed her home as a boarding house.

Barrier School Reunion Planned
Former students of the old Barrier School, which was located on Irish Potato Road, near Rimertown, will meet Sunday at 3:30 p.m. for a reunion.
The meeting, to be held at Rimertown Cross of Christ Lutheran Church fellowship hall, will conclude with a picnic supper at 5 o’clock. Guests are asked to bring lunches and iced tea.
The school was in operation from approximately 1910 to 1940. Former teachers include D. P. Grant, Mrs. Sadie Cook Haynes, Mrs. Ala Mae Ketner, Mrs. Maude Bost Shives, Mrs. Stella Hahn Cook, Mrs. Ruby Sapp Peck, Mrs. Ruth Brantley Peck, and the former Miss Eva Bostian.
