Funeral of Mrs. Hubert
Revs. C. K. Hunton, Paul Seig and Dr. L. A. Fox, of Salem, assisted by the ministers of Blacksburg, conducted the funeral services for the late Mrs. Virginia Ribble Hubert in the Luther Memorial church Wednesday afternoon and paid feeling tribute to the memory of a good woman, the seating capacity of the building being taxed to the utmost to accommodate the friends and neighbors who were present. Following the church service, the body was taken to the family cemetery, several miles from town on the Ribble farm, and laid to rest within sight of the home where Mrs. Hubert was born sixty-six years ago. Overhead the clouds hung drearily, a deeper gloom shrouded the hearts of those loved ones who stood by but there was nothing of floom for the spirit of the kindly woman who had died, for the light that fadeth never was shining for her.
