Mrs. J. C. Kesler
SALISBURY – Mrs. Mary Ann Kesler, 86, died at 2:50 p.m. Tuesday at Roan Memorial Hospital. She had been in clining health a year, but death was unexpected.

She was born in Rowan County to Joseph Washington Kesler and Caroline Kirk Kesler. She attended Rowan County schools and Mount Amoena Seminary at Mount Pleasant.

Mrs. Kesler was formerly a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, but joined First Methodist Church in 1902. Her husband died in 1954.

Surviving are two sons, B. C. Kesler of Richlands and Dr. R. Lincoln Kelser of Oak Park, Ill.; a daugher Mrs. T. Fred Henry of Salisbury; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Belt of Tampa, Fla., and Mrs. Reginald E. Ramsey Sr. of Salisbury; one half brother, Joseph B. Kesler of Salisbury.

The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. today at Summersett Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Harlan L. Creech Jr. Burial will be at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
