Miss Beulah Kluttz
SALISBURY – Miss Beulah Alma Kluttz, 70, of Concord, Rt. 3, died Monday night at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital at Concord. She had been a patient three days and ill a week.
She was born in Cabarrus County to T. W. L. and Lizzie R. Rhinehardt Kluttz. She had attended Rimer schools and was a graduate of Mount Amoena Seminary and North Carolina Normal and Industrial School (now the University of North Carolina at Greensboro).
She spent most of her adult life teaching in Cabarrus County schools and later joined Cannon Mills, where she remained until her recent retirement.
Surviving are three brothers, including Herman Kluttz of Salisbury, Rt. 5, and Cansler Kluttz of Rockwell, Rt. 2; and seven sisters, including Mrs. Lola Bost of Rockwell, Rt. 1, and Mrs. Eunice Walter of Rockwell, Rt. 2.
The funeral will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. today at Organ Lutheran Church by the Rev. Q. O. Lyerly and the Rev. D. P. Smotherman. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body will be placed in the church at 4 p.m. today. It will remain at Wright’s Funeral Home at Salisbury until time to be taken to the church.
