May Day Pageant, 1 May 1916

May Day pageant at Mont Amoena in 1916. They brought a piano out onto the lawn for a “May Chorus.” The May Queen is on a raised platform and a number of participants are holding May baskets. Those lying on the ground are adorned with butterfly wings.

May Day Fete

At Mont Amoena Seminary on May 1, at 6 o’clock there will be 65 young ladies taking part in the pageant, which consists of crowning of the May Queen and a May pole dance. There will be May choruses. The Public is cordially invited to attend.
