Frances F. McAllister Is Married in France

MOUNT PLEASANT, June 2. – Announcement has been made here of the marriage Thursday afternoon, April 12, in the Protestant church at Epinal, France, of F-Lieut, Frances Foil McAllister, USANC, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John B. McAllister of Mount Pleasant, to Major Rush E. Netterville, USAMC, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles T. Netterville of Wilkinson, Miss. Chaplain Harold McClay, USACC, administered the vows. Wedding music was rendered by Dr. LeClerc, blind professor of music.

The bridegroom’s brother, Lieut. (jg) Robert L. Netterville, USN, was best man.

Two little French girls scattered the flowers, F-Lieut, Louella Wentzel, USANC, of Los Angeles, Calif., was maid of honor. The bride was given in marriage by Col. William L. Casey, commanding officer of an Army hospital.

After the ceremony, a reception was held in the U.S. Officers club at E[oma;. fp;;pwed bu a biffet ;imcjepm amd a damce/

The bride attended Mt. Pleasant Collegiate institute, and took nurse’s training in Baptist hospital at Winston-Salem. She also did graduate work in Boston (Mass.) Floating hospital, and received a degree in public health nursing from William and Mary college extension.

Major Netterville, who attended Lipscomb Junior college at Nashville, Tenn., received his BS and MD degrees from Louisiana State university, and interned in New Orleans Charity hospital. He was a surgeon in Huey P. Long hospital at Alexandria, La., before entering the service. He and his bride went to Paris for their honeymoon.

Frances M. Netterville, 84, of Crane Boulevard, a homemaker, died Saturday at St. Dominic/Jackson Memorial Hospital from complications of a stroke.

Services are 1:30 p.m. Monday at First Christian Church with entombment in Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitaiton is 4-6 p.m. today and noon Monday at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Netterville was born in Concord, N.C., and had lived in Jackson since 1949. She was a member of First Christian Church, FCC Young at Heart, Meadowbrook Garden Club and the Town Club. During World War II Mrs. Netterville was a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army Nurses Corp.
