Mrs. Barnhardt Taken by Death

Mrs. Clara Irene Barnhardt, 97, of Port Orange, Fla., mother of Mrs. Frank L. Marbry of Badin, died Wednesday night in Port Orange.

Mrs. Barnhardt was a daughter of the late Tituts and Mary Moser of Cabarrus County. She was educated in the Mt. Pleasant Schools and Mont Amoena Seminary and taught school for many years in Stanly County. She was born February 2, 1877.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John O. Barnhardt, in 1941 [1946].

Mrs. Barnhardt is survived by three sons, Earl E. Barnhardt of Port Orange, Aubrey C. Barnhardt of Daytona, Fla., and Leslie E. Barnhardt of Charlotte; two daughters, Mrs. Marbry and Mrs. Bruce E. Sloop of Greenville, N. C.; and one sister, Mrs. Scott Hoddick of Bastrop, La.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon in Lefler Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. James N. Biggers and Rev. John Robinson will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:30 to 9 Saturday evening.
