Bridal Party Here
A bridal party, traveling in four or five automobiles, motored over to Salisbury from Cooleemee last evening, accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Talmage C. Johnson, who were married in the Methodist church there at 6 o’clock and who came here to take a southbound train for a trip to points South. Mrs. Johnson was Rachael Murr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Murr, of Cooleemee, and Mr. Johnson is a member of the faculty of a school at Bellbuckle, Tenn., and was formerly of the faculty of Mt. Amoena Seminary, Mt. Pleasant. [not Mont Amoena, but Mount Pleasant Collegiate Institute. DM]

Murr -Johnson
Cooleemee, April 13. – On Wednesday evening at the Methodist church, a pretty wedding was solemnized when Miss Rachel Murr became the bride of T. C. Johnson. The ceremony was performed by Rev. C. B. Austin, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Laurinburg. He was a classmate of the groom when they were in college.
The bridesmaids were Misses Lois Tiller, Rebecca Byerly, Lola Waton, and Clara Gilbert. The maid of honor was Miss Beulah Tiller. Little Miss Eleanor Strowd carried the ring in a large calla lily. The little flower girls were little Misses Catherine Murr and Helen Zachary dressed in pink and white.
The bride entered with her father and was met at the altar by the groom and his best man, J. F. Johnson, of Mooresville. The ring ceremony was used.
The happy couple left immediately for Salisbury, where they took the train for southern points. After April 18, they will be at home in Bellbuckle, Tennessee.
Mrs. Johnson is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Murr of this place. Mr. Johson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Johnson, of Honea Path, S. C.
The out-of-town guests were Mrs. J. J. Hopkins and children, and Mr. and Mrs. J. W. B. Miller and three sons of Concord; Mrs. F. B. Irwin and son, of Salisbury; and Mr. Tom Zachary of Bellbuckle, Tenn.

MRS. RACHEL M. JOHNSON
KINSTON – Mrs. Rachel Murr Johnson, 68, widow of Dr. T. C. Johnson, died in Mobile Ala. after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Kinston at 3 p.m. Thursday. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery.
Survivors are three sons, George Johnson of Mobile Ala., Bill Johnson of Miami Fla. and James Johnson of Greenville Tex; sister, Mrs. Ray Nibbelink of High Point; brothers, Morris N. Murr of Hickory and Frank Murr of Thomasville; grandchildren.
