MECKLENBURG COUNTY DEATHS
Mrs. Virginia Lee Patterson Grimes, 84, of 4721 Carmel Park Ln. died Dec. 6, 1989, at home. Funerals are 11 a.m. today at Christ Lutheran Church, where she was a charter member, and 1 p.m. today at Greenlawn Cemetery, China Grove. Harry and Bryant Funeral Home is in charge.
Mrs. Grimes, a native of Somerset, Pa., was a homemaker and had attended Montamoena Seminary in Mount Pleasant, N.C., and was a graduate of Midland College in Fremont, Neb. At her church she was a choir member and the church council’s first secretary. She also taught Sunday school, Bible school and weekday school and was a member of the Lutheran Church Women.
Survivors are her husband, James; son, Conrad Grimes Jr. of Winnipeg, Manitoba; four grandchildren.
