Mrs. John W. Weeks Died at Home Here
Mrs. Esther Phillips Weeks, widow of Captain John Waring Weeks, died yesterday at 2:30 P.M. at her home in West Walnut street. Altho Mrs. Weeks had been in ill health for several years, and seriously ill the past week, her condition was not considered critical and her death was unexpected.
Mrs. Weeks was born in Selinsgrove April 16, 1891, and was aged 56 years. She was a graduate of the Selinsgrove High School and Conservatory of Music at Susquehanna University. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Surviving Mrs. Weeks are her three daughters, Margaret, wife of Francis R. Adams, Jr., of Green Belt, Maryland; Polly, wife of Harry L. Wilcox, Carlisle; and Patty, wife of George A. Hummel, Selinsgrove; four sisters, Mrs. William S. Ulrich, of Coatesville; Mrs. Charles P. McLaughlin, of Atlanta, Georgia; and Misses Mary and Aberdeen Phillips, with whom Mrs. Weeks resided; and three brothers, Harry D. Phillips, of Sundbury; Garfield J. Phillips, of Selinsgrove; and Dr. Edward A. Phillips, of Milton. Captain Weeks preceded Mrs. Weeks in death in July, 1933.
Robert C. Montgomery, mortician, of Selinsgrove, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
