MARRIAGE AT MOORESVILLE.
Miss Nita Woods Sloop Becomes Bride of Dr. Raymond Lee McKee in Pretty Church Ceremony.

Mooresville, April 5 – The following announcements have been issued:
“Mr. J. Allen Sloop
announces the marriage of his daughter
Nita Woods
To
Dr. Raymond Lee McKee
on Monday April the fifth
nineteen hundred and twenty six
Mooresville, N. C.
“At Home
Mooresville, N. C.,
No. 10, McNeely Avenue.”
The ceremony witnessed by relatives and a few intimate friends was performed at St. Marks Lutheran church at half past five o’clock in the afternoon.
Chancel, altar, and choir loft were tastefully arranged with baskets of white flowers and Easter lilies.
Dr. H. A. Stirewalt, of China Grove, played the wedding music. Miss Vernie Goodman, of Concord sang, “I love you truly” by Bonds, before the ceremony. The wedding march from Lohengrin was played as the processional.
The bird was given in marriage by her father, Mr. J. Allen Sloop.
The groom was accompanied by his brother, Mr. G. E. McKee, of Belmont, as the best man.
The officiating minister, Rev. G. H. Linkgle, pastor of the church, met the couple at the altar. The beautiful ring service of the Lutheran church was used. During the ceremony Dr. Stirewalt played “Troumeri” from Schumann. The bride wore a handsome ensemble costume of blue crepe with harmonizing accessories. Mendelsshon’s wedding march was played as the recessional.
Immediately after the ceremony Dr. and Mrs. McKee left for a short honeymoon trip. On their return they will be at home in Mooresville.
Mrs. McKee is the youngest daughter of Mr. J. Allen Sloop, and is a member of one of the town’s most influential and substantial families. She was educated at mont Amoena Seminary, Mt. Pleasant, and at Columbia University, specializing in music. For the past several years she has been a popular teacher of music in the city. She is organist at St. Marks, and is active in church and civic circles. She is an accomplished young woman of charm and fine personality.
Dr. McKee has been located in Mooresville for more than three years and he is held in high esteem by his numerous friends, and is possessed of exceptional worth and merit. And her is best wishes from their many friends.
