Albemarle, Jan. 9. – In a private ceremony, Miss Celia Tucker, of this city, became the bride of Reecy Allen Lowder, also of this city, January 1, in the parsonage of St. John’s Lutheran church in Cabarrus County. The pastor, Rev. L. D. Miller, officiated, using the ring ceremony of the Lutheran church.

The bride wore a traveling suit of brown with contrasting accessories and a corsage of Talisman roses and valley lilies. She is the only daughter of Alfred J. Tucker and the late Mrs. Martha A. For a number of years she taught in the public schools of the state and for the past several years has been a member of the city school faculty.

Mr. Lowder is the son of Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Lowder, of Albemarle. For several years he has been connected with the postal service and is now in the United States mail service in Albemarle. Immediately after the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Lowder left for a bridal trip to Florida. They will reside here.
