Leesville, April 18. – A quiet home wedding was celebrated in the St. Mark’s section today at 5 o’clock in which John S. McCarty and Miss Eunabelle Wheeler were made man and wife. The ceremony was performed by the bride’s pastor, the Rev. W. A. Dutton, of the Lutheran church. Only a few intimate friends were present, among them being Mrs. S. C. Ballentine

EUNABEL WHEELER, born Sept. 18, 1888, attended the common schools and Mount Amoena Seminary, Mt. Pleasant, N. C. United with St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church Saluda County, of which she is still an active member. Married John S. McCarty April 16, 1914. Her husband is Magistrate and farmer and they live on their farm near Saluda, S. C. There is one child: Harold Etheridge, born June 24, 1920.

Mrs. Will Calk, 64, Near Saluda
SALUDA, May 9 — (Special) — Mrs. Will Calk, 64, died at her home in the Sardis section at midnight Friday after several weeks illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:30 Sunday afternoon from the Sardis Baptist Church of which she was a member by the pastor, the Rev. H. H. Hoover. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Survivors include her husband; one son by a former marriage, Harold McCarty; several step-children; three sisters, Mrs. Philip Pou of Saluda, Mrs. B. C. Herlong of Greenwood and Mrs. Leon D. Black of Miami, Fla.; two brothers, Hugh L. Wheeler of Saluda and S. J. Wheeler of Johnson City, Tenn., and two grandchildren.
The body will be at the home of her son, Harold McCarty, after 10 o’clock Sunday until time of service.
