Mrs. Agnes Underwood
Mrs. Agnes Barbee Raiford Underwood, 86, of Charlotte died July 4, 1992, at Sharon Village Nursing Center. Funeral is noon today at Plaza Presbyterian Church, where she was a member. Burial will be in Bethel United Methodist Church cemetery, Midland. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge.

Mrs. Underwood, a Mecklenburg County native, was a graduate of Cabarrus County schools and received an associate degree from Mont Amoena Seminary for Young Women in Mount Pleasant, N.C. At her church, she was a member of the Johnson-Kennedy Bible class, The Jolly Elders and Presbyterian Women.

Survivors are her son, Phillip Raiford; daughters, Mrs. Rebecca Ledbetter of Greenville, S.C., Mrs. Patricia Ferguson; brothers, John Barbee, H.T. Barbee Jr., both of Concord, Homer Barbee of Davidson; sisters, Mrs. Jessie Barbee of Concord, Mrs. Helen Mesimer of Davidson, Mrs. Trecia Smith; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
