MISS BLOMGREN WEDS SOUTHERN MINISTER IN MT. PLEASANT, NC
Davenport friends will be interested in the announcement of the marriage of Miss Mildred Hildegard Ione Blomgren, daughter of the late Dr. C. A. Blomgren, professor at Augusta college, Rock Island, to the Rev. Leroy Blackwelder of Faith, N. C. The ceremony took place Wednesday Aug. 17 at 9 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Lutheran church in Mount Pleasant, N. C.
The Rev. and Mrs. Blackwelder have gone to Ashland, N. C. for their wedding trip and will make their home in Faith where the bridegroom is pastor of the English Lutheran synod of the south.
The bride attended Augustana academy and took three years of her college work at the college graduating from Elizabeth college, Salem, Va., in 1921. For several years she taught aat Mont Amonea [sic] for Girls at Mount Pleasant and last year was a teacher at the Lankenau Girls’ school in Philadelphia.
Mrs. Blackwelder is a niece of Mrs. G. L. Lindstedt, 320 Fifteenth avenue, East Moline.
