BLUME-PHARR
CONCORD, March 10. – Miss Mattie Lucile Blume and Laird A. Pharr, Jr., were married at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Blume, in the Roberta community.
Rev. K. L. McIver, pastor of both the young people officiated, using the ring service.
Miss Edna Dale Hilton, of Charlotte, rendered the wedding music. The ring bearer was the bride’s sister, Vernie Blume. L. L. Caldwell was dame of honor.
The bride wore a lovely dress of royal blue georgette and carried an arm bouquet of brides’ roses and valley lilies.
Mrs. Pharr was educated at Mount Amoena (sic) Seminary, Mt. Pleasant, where she finished in music in 1925.
Mr. Pharr is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Pharr. He is a graduate of Sand Hill Farm Life school, Vass, N. C.
After a trip to eastern Carolina, Mr. and Mrs. Pharr will be at home with the groom’s parents.
