Harrison-Cox
Concord, June 24 – Of interest to a large circle of friends here and elsewhere was the marriage of Miss Numa Cox to Charles F. Harrison, Jr. The wedding was solemnized Sunday morning, June 18, at 8 o’clock at the parsonage of St. John’s Lutheran church, Rev. L. D. Miller, officiating.
The ceremony, characterized by beauty and simplicity, was witnessed by close friends of the bride and bridegroom. The quietness of the morning hour made the ceremony a very impressive one.
The brunette beauty of the bride was enhanced by her attire of tea rose angelskin crepe, with brown trimmings. Her hat was a close fitting model of tea-rose crepe with a touch of brown. She wore pink mits. Her going-away dress was of navy blue, with blue and white accessories.
The brid is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Cox, of Mount Pleasant. She is a graduate of Mont Amoena Seminary and for the past four years has been bookkeeper and cashier at the J. C. Penny company here. Mr. Harrison is the son of the late Mr. And Mrs. C. L. Harrison. He received his education at Kannapolis high school and Mount Pleasant Collegiate Institute and is a business man of Kannapolis. He is manager and operator of the Ideal Studio there. After the ceremony the young couple left for a wedding trip. Upon their return they will reside for the present at the home of Dr. G. M. Bradford in Kannapolis.
