FALLS ASLEEP
Miss Ola Deal Dies of Typhoid Fever
 – A loss to Relatives and Community – A prominent Member of Her Church

After being sick with typhoid fever for a week or two, Miss Ola Deal, daughter of Mr. Pink Deal, of No. 5 township, falls asleep to wake no more on earth. She died Tuesday night about 8 o’clock.

Miss Deal was just entering into life’s duties, being nearly 20 years of age. She was a most excellent young lady and stood in highest estimate by all the people of the community. She was an earnest worker in her church and will be greatly missed by the entire congregation for her untiring services for her Maker. She had completed her Junior year in school at Mt. Amoena and would have finished the course had it not been for bad health. In school she always stood high among her associates and also in her studies.

She leaves behind four brothers, one sister and parents, besides friends in abundance to mourn this sad death.

Besides the loss to relatives and friends, there is still another sad feature of this death which was one most touching. It is that she leaves a young man behind, who is now heart broken and whom she confessed her love before her death. This couple were to have married in the future and were most fondly devoted. He, even as much as the closest relatives, needs condolence and sympathy from all.

A touching scene indeed it was for her and the one whom she had loved for a long while, to bid each other farewell, and the pleasures of each other’s association on this earth must draw to a close. This sad scene was also pictured by her pastor at the funeral.

The funeral was preached this (Wednesday) evening at Cold Water Lutheran church, of which Miss Deal was a member, by her pastor, Rev. H. A. McCullough.
