Mrs. Folk Dies Of Attack Here

Funeral Set for Lutheran Church This Afternoon

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Derrick Folk, who died of a heart attack at her home at 205 Oakland avenue early yesterday morning, will be held at 5:30 p.m. today in the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer.

The Rev. H. G. Fisher, pastor of the church, will officiate and burial will be in the family lot in Rose Hill cemetery. The church choir will sing two of Mrs. Folk’s favorite hymns. Members of the women’s Bible class will attend the service in a body.

Mrs. Folk, wife of W. E. Folk, a charter member of the church, had been in declining health for about two years but was able to be up until last Saturday. She went to Atlanta with her sister, Mrs. F. I. Gilbert, on Thursday a week ago.

Mrs. Folk was born in Pomaria, S. C., Oct. 12, 1874, the daughter of P. M. Derrick and Anne E. Hentz Derrick. She moved to Macon in June, 1910, and had lived here since. Her husband is manager of the drug department for the Dannenberg Company. Her daughter and only child, Miss Estelle Folk, works with her father.

Other survivors include a nephew, H. B. O’Cain, and a niece, Miss Elizabeth Derrick, Bradenton, Fla.
