Thompson-Dry

ALBEMARLE, Oct. 23 – Of widespread interest is the marriage of Miss Carrie Rebecca Dry of Norwood to Charles Erskine Thompson of Gulf, which was solemnized in a private ceremony Thursday evening. October 14, in the parsonage of St. Martin;s Lutheran church. The pastor, Dr. J. C. Deitz, performed the marriage service, using the ring ceremony of the Lutheran church.

Mrs. Thompson is the daughter of Jacob Wilson Dry and the late Mrs. Rebecca Harward Dry of this city. Mrs. Thompson is a graduate of Mont Amoena Seminary of Mt Pleasant and completed a business course at Kings Business college in Charlotte. For the last several years, Mrs. Thompson has been bookkeeper with the Morton Furniture company in Norwood.

Mr. Thompson is the son of Redson Crowell Thompson and Mrs. Carolina Kendall Thompson of Norwood. Mr. Thompson is superintendent of the B. Mifflin Shale company in Gulf. After a honeymoon trip to norther points, Mr. and Mrs. Thompson are living in Gulf.
