MISS LAUREL DRY AND MR. GUY LIPE QUIETLY MARRIED

Mr. Guy Lipe and Miss Laurel Dry were quietly married at the St. John;s parsonage on December 3, at 5 o’clock,  Rev. L. D. Miller officiating. Mrs. Lipe is the youngest daughter of Mrs. E. S. Dry and is an accomplished blonde of marked beauty. She wore a beautiful tan crepe dress with accessories to match.

After graduating from Mont Amoena Seminary she has taught successfully in the public schools of Rowan and Cabarrus counties, where her charming personality has won for her many friends who will wish her much happiness.

Mr. Lipe is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Lipe of Mt. Pleasant.

After attending school at M. P. C. I. Mr. Lipe has been engaged in business in Mt. Pleasant for several years, where he has won a wide reputation as contractor.

They will make their home in Mt. Pleasant, and their many friends wish them much success in their new happieness.

The following announcements have been issued:

“Mrs. Eunice F. Dry announces the marriage of her daughter, Laurel Whitfield, to Mr. Guy W. Lipe, on Saturday, the third of December, nineteen hundred and twenty-seven, Mt. Pleasant, North Carolina.”

NORTH CAROLINA DEATHS

Mrs. Laurel Dry Lindsey

92, retired registered nurse, died Jan. 22, 1994, at Cardinal Care of Odell. Funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wilkinson’s Funeral Home. Visitation is 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Surviving is her daughter, Mrs. Ellen Coward of Charlotte.
