Miss Anna Belle Eddleman married Joseph Vance Sutton on 12/25/1901 in St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in China Grove NC officiated by Rev. J. Q. Wertz. The groom was from Thomasville NC and the bride was from China Grove NC.

Mrs. Joseph Vance Sutton, 63, died at her home, 127 Queens Rd. yesterday afternoon at 3 o’clock after an illness of two and one-half months.

Mrs. Sutton, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Eddleman, was born May 30, 1880 at China Grove. In 1901 she was married to Joseph Vance Sutton, who at the time of his death was chief claims agent for the Duke Power Co.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Walter Lee Gray of Charlotte; and four sisters, Mrs. C. J. Kimball of Columbia, S. C., Mrs. C. L. Graeber of Yazoo City, Miss.; Mrs. C. A. Cook of Concord, and Mrs. J. H. Keller of China Grove.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 4:30 o’clock at St. Marks Lutheran Church, of which she was an active member, with Dr. J. F. Crigler, pastor, officiating.

Active pallbearers will be J. E. Graham, Cecil C. Graham, Marvin Eddleman, Dermont Graham, Rufpert Eddleman, and Charles Rankin, all nephew of Mrs. Sutton.

The honorary escort will include Dr. E. R. Hipp, Dr. Luther W. Kelly, Dr. W. L. Kiber, Judge John J. Parker, James B. Brickell, and E. R. Cannon.
