MRS. GARRIE E. HINE
Winston-Salem – Mrs. Carrie Efird Hine, 71, widow of Gilbert C. Hine, died at her home here yesterday morning after being in failing health for a number of years. Born in Lexington, she had lived her for 50 years and was well known.
Her husband was a pioneer business man here and one son, Efird L. Hine, is prominent in business and political circles. Another son, the Rev. Cecil C. Hine, is a Lutheran minister in New York. Other survivors include two daughters and one brother.

MRS. GARRIE EFIRD HINE
Last rites were held in Winston-Salem yesterday afternoon at 3 o’clock for Mrs. Garrie Efird Hine, who died Wednesday morning at her home in Winston-Salem. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George A. Westbrook and Mrs. George R. Hamilton of Charlotte; two sons, Efird Hine of Winston-Salem and Rev. Cecil Hine of New York and a niece, Mrs. Herbert Spaugh of Charlotte.
