NO. 11 TOWNSHIP
Mr. Vance Cline and Miss Laura Efird were happily married last Sunday evening at 9:30 o’clock. The ceremony took place at the home of the bride, near Salisbury. Rev. M. L. Kester, the bride’s pastor, performed the ceremony. They arrived in Concord on train No. 7 Monday afternoon and were driven to the home of the groom in No. 11 township, where they will live. Mr. Cline is one of the No. 22’s most prominent young men. Mrs. Cline is a charming young lady, and already has many friends here, she having taught school at the Litaker school house last winter. Their many friends wish them a pleasant journey through life.

Death of Mrs. Vance Cline
Mrs. Vanve [Vance] Cline died Wednesday about 8 o’clock at her home on No. 11 township, just below the city. Mrs. Cline was in her usual health until yesterday afternoon, when she was seized with an attack of nephritic colic [kidney stones].* But little could be done to relieve her condition, and she passed away Wednesday morning.
Mrs. Cline was about 30 years of age and was before marriage Miss Laura Efird, of near China Grove. She leaves her husband but no children. The burial took place today at 2 o’clock, at Luther Chapel, at China Grove.
*Death certificate states puerperal eclampsia, a complication of childbirth.
