Miss Sallie J. Fisher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Fisher, of Mount Pleasant, was married Wednesday morning at the bride’s home to Mr. Charles Weiser, of Bluefields, W. Va. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H. A. McCullough, after which the bridal party went to Harrisburg, Pa., to visit the groom’s parents.

Telegram was received here Monday evening announcing the death of Mr. Charles Weiser, Bluefield, W. Va., Mrs. Weiser, who was Miss Sallie Fisher of this place, has the sympathy of many friends in her sad bereavement. Mr. Weiser was a railroad engineer on the N & W railway, and his death was caused by scalds received in a wreck.

SALISBURY, Aug 22 – Funeral was held at Lebanon Lutheran church today at 4 p.m. for Mrs. Sallie J. Weiser, 77, who died at her home near Barber at 5 a.m. Saturday. Mrs. Weiser, widow of Charles Henry Weiser, is survived by a son, Charles Henry Weiser; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Pearl Pursifull, of Plainview, Tex.; Mrs. G. R. Linkenhoker, of Williamson, W. Va., and Mrs. W. J. Stanefer, of Baseline, Mich.; a stepson, Carl E. Weiser, of Bellair, N. Y.; three sister, Mrs. F. A. Barrier of Concord, and Mrs. F. A. Brown and Lula K. Fisher, of Salisbury.
