Miss Furr
CONCORD – Miss Lela M. Furr, of 138 Ingleside Dr., died Monday at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Hartesell’s Funeral Home by the Rev. T. C. Plexico. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
The body will remain at the funeral home and the family will receive friends there from 7 until 9 p.m. today.
Memorials may be made to St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, where Miss Furr was a member.
The daughter of the late Walter C. Furr and Mrs. Rena Little Furr, Miss Furr was a retired school teacher of the Albemarle City Schools.
She is survived by two sisters, Miss Alma Furr of Concord and Mrs. J. W. Abernathy of Charlotte; four brothers, Carl Furr of Concord, Charlie Furr of Oakboro, Earl Furr of Atlanta, Ga. and Coy Furr.
