Harkey-Barringer.
A beautiful home wedding was solemnized Saturday, December 22, at 6 o’clock, at the home of the bride, near Mount Pleasant, when Miss Mary Harkey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Harkey became the bride of Mr. Paul Barringer, of Mt. Pleasant. Rev. M. L. Ridenhour, pastor of the bride, performed the ceremony in a most beautiful and impressive manner. The marriage vows were taken in the parlor, which was most beautifully decorated. The wedding was a very quiet affair, only a few friends and relatives being present. Little Miss Edna Bellotte was ring bearer. She is a niece of the bride.
This young couple are very popular. The groom is the youngest son of Mr. J. D. Barringer, and one of Mt. Pleasant’s best young men. After the wedding a sumptuous supper was served, which all enjoyed. We wish them a long and happy life. They are living at the home of the groom’s father. X. Y. Z.
