Lenna Marie Hartsell born 18 November 1899 died 29 March 1996, received her education at Mont Amoena Academy in Mt. Pleasant, Asbury College in Wilmore, KY, and post graduate studies at Greensboro College and Duke University.
She taught Bible and English in NC public schools, beginning in 1922 at the old High Point School near Bost Mill.
Lenna married Rev. Bayne W. Lefler on 30 Jun 1927. She lived to the age of ninety-six years and was buried at Cold Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.

JOHN SHARPE HARTSELL is one of the younger attorneys practicing at the bar of Concord. He was born in Cabarrus County, February 14, 1907, and of the same county his parents, Robert Lee and Bessie (Boger) Harsell, are natives. The father, born at Bost’s Mill, August 26, 1867 was educated in Unionville Institute and since putting aside his text books has engaged in farming. He has always voted with the Democratic party and since 1926 has been a member of the Cabarrus County board of education. Both he and his wife are members of the Methodist church, in which he is serving as Sunday school superintendent. Mrs. Hartsell was born October 12, 1882, and was educated in the public schools. They are the parents of the following named: Lenna Marie, who was born in Cabarrus County, November 18, 1899, attended the public schools, then entered Mont Amoena Seminary at Mount Pleasant and later continued her studies at Asbury College at Wilmore, Kentucky, and the University of North Carolina. She is now the wife of Bayne W. Lefler, of Greensboro, North Carolina.
