MT. PLEASANT – Mrs. George W. Foil, 86, of Concord, Rt. 3, the Mt. Olive community, died suddenly at her home Tuesday.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. James United Church of Christ by Dr. Felix Peck. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will remain at Gordon-Peninger Funeral Home until taken to the church to lie in state half an hour prior to the rites.

Mrs. Foil was born in Cabarrus County, daughter of the late J. G. Honeycutt and Mrs. Margaret Hopkins Honeycutt.

Surviving are three sons, Jack Foil of Concord, Rt. 3, Frank Tomkinson of Concord, and Ernest Teague of Derry, N. H.; one brother, L. D. Honeycutt of Albemarle; and two sisters, Mrs. Hillary Sanford of Kannapolis and Mrs. William Arey, Sr. of Concord.
