Miss Myrtle Kluttz
Myrtle Maye Kuttz, 96, of 2908 Country Home Road, Concord, died Saturday, March 19, 1994, at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Boger United Church of Christ, of which she was a member. The Rev. Jerry . Rhyne and  the Rev. W. W. Hedrick will officiate. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.  Monday at Gordon Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant and otherwise will be at the home of a brother, George E. Kluttz Sr., 3635 Tyler road, Rockwell.

Born Aug. 6, 1897, in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Emma Goodman Kluttz.

A retired teacher, she taught in the public schools of Cabarrus and Rowan counties and the primary grades of the Kannapolis City Schools. She received her education in the public schools of Cabarrus County.

She graduated from the Mt. Amoena Seminary in Mt. Pleasant and attended summer school for teachers at Asheville Normal School, Appalachian School in Boone and Women’s College for teachers in Greensboro.

She was a former member of Grace Lower Stone Church, where she a member of the Women’s Circle, was a Sunday School teacher and served as chairman of the building finance committee for its educational building. At her current church, she was a member of the church Women’s Circle.

In addition to her brother, survivors include tow sisters, Mrs. Ruth Misenheimer of Rockwell and Miss Ethel Kluttz of Concord.

CONCORD – Miss Myrtle Maye Kluttz, 96, retired teacher, died March 19, 1994, at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. Funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Boger United Church of Christ. Visitation is 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at Gordon Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, N. C.

Survivors are her brother, George Kluttz of Rockwell; sisters, Mrs. Ruth Misenheimer of Rockwell, Miss Ethel Kluttz.
