Foil-Kluttz

Mount Pleasant, June 3.—Announcements have just been made here of the marriage of Miss Nora Virginia Kluttz to Warren O. [D.]Foil. The marriage was solemnized Wednesday evening, May 31, at the Reformed parsonage in Faith, with Rev. R. C. Whisenhunt officiating. Miss Gladys Kluttz, a student of Catawba college and a cousin of the bride, rendered several beautiful piano numbers.

Mrs. Foil is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George L. Kluttz, of Gold Hill, and has been teaching school for the past few years. Mr. Foil has been recognized as a very successful and efficient merchant here. Immediately following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Foil left for points north, and upon their return they will make their home in Mount Pleasant.

Funeral Is Held for Mrs. Foil

Funeral services were held yesterday at 4 p.m. at the Lower Stone Reformed church for Mrs. Nora Kluttz Foil, 57, who died at 4 p.m. Saturday at her home in Rockwell. She had been ill for some time. Burial was in the church cemetery.

A native of Rowan county, she had lived much of her life in Cabarrus county before returning to Rowan upon the death of her husband, Berry W. Foil, two years ago. She had taught in the county schools for some 25 years before her retirement from teaching some five years ago.

She is survived by one sister, Miss Katherine Kluttz, of Gold Hill; and three brothers, R. G. Kluttz, of Rockwell; C. V. Kluttz and J. E. Kluttz, of Gold Hill. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The services were conducted by Rev. Lonnie Carpenter, pastor of the Lower Stone Reformed church, assisted by Rev. R. C. Whisnant, pastor of the Concord Reformed church, and Rev. Mr. Walker, pastor of the Lutheran church at Rockwell.

The pallbearers were Banks Kluttz, George Kluttz, Jerry Kluttz, Sam Penninger, George E. Kluttz, Glenn Barringer.

The flowers were handled by nieces of the deceased and members of her Sunday school class at the Lower Stone church.
