MRS. LINUS GOODMAN SR.
SALISBURY, Jan. 23 – Mrs. Carrie Linge [sic] Goodman, 75, of Salibury, died today at Duke Hospital in Durham. She had been in declining health for six months. A native of Rowan County, was educated in the Rowan County schools and at Mount Amoena Seminary at Mount Pleasant. During her early life, taught in the city and county schools. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, the Women of the Church, and the Snyder Bible Class. Survivors: husband, Linus G. Goodman Jr. of Salisbury; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred G. Beaver and Mrs. Nancy G. Bowden, both of Salisbury; one sister, Mrs. K. G. Peeler of Salisbury; and four grandsons. Funeral Friday, 3:30 p.m., St. John’s Lutheran Church, the Rev. R. Douglas Fritz, burial in Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
