Miss Aurelia Mayer

NEWBERRY — Miss Aurelia Mayer, 76, of 2118 Brown St., died Wednesday afternoon in a local hospital after a short illness.

She was a native of old Lexington County, a daughter of the late Henry Michael and Laura Dominick Mayer, and was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, the LCW and the Retired Teachers Association.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Lula M. Monts of Silverstreet; and three brothers, Oscar Mayer of Newberry, J. M. Mayer of Atlanta, Ga., and A. M. Mayer of Clearwater, Fla.; several nephews and nieces, including Mrs. G. W. Landis and Mrs. Shannon Suber, both of Greenwood.

Funeral services are scheduled today at 4 p.m. in the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer with burial in Rosemont Cemetery.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Lula M. Monts of Silverstreet, and three brothers, Oscar Mayer of Newberry. J. M. Mayer of Atlanta and A. M. Mayer of Clearwater, Fla.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. McSwain Funeral Home is in charge.
