Jefferson, Dec. 28.—Tuesday at 2 o’clock Miss Mamie Miller and Mr. W. B. Gay were married at the residence of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Miller, of this place. The Presbyterian minister, pastor of the bride, performed the ceremony. The bride is beautiful and popular and she received a number of useful and attractive presents.

Mr. Gay is the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Gay of this place. He has a host of friends here and at Hartsville, his recent home. Those present from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Lowry and Mrs. E. C. Brasington of Kershaw.

Mr. and Mrs. Gay left on the 3 o’clock train for Hartsville, their future home.

MRS. MAMIE GAY

HARTSVILLE — Mrs. Mamie M. Gay, 86, died Tuesday.

Funeral will be at the Jefferson Town Cemetery at 3 p.m. Wednesday.

She was born in Chesterfield County, a daughter of the late William Michael and Sarah Barrier Miller. She had made her home in Hartsville for the last 62 years and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Roy Blakely of Hartsville; and two grandchildren.

Brown-Pennington Funeral Home is in charge.
