MISS MATTIE MILLER
SALISBURY, Jan. 21 – Miss Mattie Miller, 84, of Mount Ulla, died today at Rowan Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was educated in St. Luke’s Parochial School and Mont Amoena Seminary at Mount Pleasant. She was a lifelong member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and was the first president of the Mount Ulla Community Club. She is survived by one brother, B. B. Miller of Mount Ulla. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church at Bear Poplar by the Rev. Glenn Yount. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
