Mrs. Ruth Morrison Belk, 93, of 3420 Shamrock Dr. died March 21, 1994, at Wesley Nursing Center. Memorial service is 4 p.m. Wednesday at Harry and Bryant Funeral Home. Entombment will be private. Visitation will follow the service.

Mrs. Belk, who worked 30 years with Southern Railway, Piedmont and Northern-Durham Railways, attended Mont Amoena Seminary in Mount Pleasant, N.C., and the Woman’s College of North Carolina, now UNC-Greensboro. A former resident of Myrtle Beach, she was a former member of First Presbyterian Church, where she received an honorary life membership in the Women of the Church.

A former resident of The Methodist Home, she was a member of Myers Park United Methodist Church.

Survivors are her nephew, John Morrison Jr. of Asheville; niece, Mrs. Genie Frick of Lake Wylie, S.C.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
