Mrs. Mae Ketner
SALISBURY – Mae Pless Ketner, 96, of N. C. Lutheran Home, Salisbury, and formerly of 6560 Old Beatty Ford Road, Rt. 2, Rockwell, died at 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 30, 1994, at N. C. Lutheran Home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ebenezer Lutheran Church. The Rev. Doug Kearney and the Rev. John Sells will officiate. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove, and otherwise will be at the home of a son, Dr. Bruce Ketner, 105 Wellington Dr., Salisbury.

Born May 26, 1898, in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Agustus Luther and Mary Elizabeth Faggart Pless. She was educated in Cabarrus County Schools and attended Mont Amoena Seminary in Mt. Pleasant.

She was a school teacher at Barrier School and was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church. Her husband, William A. Ketner, died Oct. 7, 1952.

In addition to her son, survivors include another son, Dr. William D. Ketner of North Augusta, S. C.; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
