Miss Ridenhour Becomes Bride of Mr. Weiler
Pennsylvania Man and Concord Girl Wed Quietly at Parsonage
CONCORD, Sept. 1 – Coming as a surprise was the marriage of Miss Mary Elizabeth Ridenhour, of Concord and Barton S. Weiler, Jr., of Lancaster, Pa., which was solemnized Sunday at the parsonage of the St. Johns Lutheran church.
Rev. L. D. Miller, pastor of the church, performed the ceremony.
The only attendants were Mr. and Mrs. William Cline of Concord.
Shortly after the wedding the couple left for Washington, D. C., and other points. After August 30th they will be at home in Waynesboro, Pa.
Mrs. Weiler is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luther A. Ridenhour, this city. She is a graduate of Mont Amoena seminary, Mt. Pleasant. She has also studied music at Salem college and the State university.
Mr. Weiler is a son of Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Weiler, of Lancaster, Pa. He is a graduate of the Millersville State Teacher’s college and also of Elizabethtown college, both in Pennsylvania. He will be a teacher in the Waynesboro high school, Waynesboro, Pa., the coming year.
