Miss Stallings Wed to Harry Mowrer
CONCORD, April 16. – The marriage of Miss Margaret Elizabeth Stallings and Harry Mowrer was solemnized Saturday [April 15] evening at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Franklin Stallings, near Concord. Rev. Leroy Scott officiated.
Mrs. Robert Sappenfield Jr., rendered a program of nuptial music with the assistance of Miss Frances Alexander, soloist.
The bride was attired in a two-piece ice blue crepe dress, with matching hat and brown accessories. She carried a white satin prayer book topped by an orchid and showered with valley lilies. Her only ornament was an heirloom necklace.
Immediately after the ceremony an informal reception was held.
Mrs. Mowrer was educated at Mt. Amoena seminary and Davenport college.
Mr. Mowrer is the son of Mrs. John Oehler Mowrer. He attended Mt. Pleasant Collegiate Institute and since his honorable discharge fro the army has been employed by the Standard Oil company.
