Maribelle Godbey
CONCORD – Ms. Maribelle Umberger Godbey, 87, of Christiansburg, Va., formerly of Concord, retired librarian, died April 15, 1991. Funeral is 1 p.m. Thursday at Christiansburg Presbyterian Church. Visitation is 7 to 9 tonight at the church.
Survivors are her daughters, Ms. Anita Caldwell of Roanoke, Ms. Doris Wallace of Hickory, brothers, Wily Umberger, King Umberger; sisters, Ms. Anita Cathey of Salisbury, Ms. Ruth Plonk of Kings Mountain, Ms. Frances Fischer. Richardson-Horne of Christiansburg is in charge.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christiansburg Presbyterian Church, West Main Street, Christiansburg, Va. 24073, or to New River Community College, Stanley Godbey scholarship fund, Dublin, Va. 24084.
