WALKER-CRESS

CONCORD, Feb. 4 – A quiet wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Walker, when their daughter, Miss Cora, became the bride of Jay L. Cress.

The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Paul A. Walker, brother and sister of the young couple. The ring bearer, Master J. D. Walker, nephew of the bride, preceded the bride and groom carrying the ring on a white satin pillow.

Rev. L. D. Miller, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran church, performed the ceremony in the presence of a few friends and relatives.

The bride received her education at Mont Amoena seminary, Mt. Pleasant.

The groom is the only son of Mr. And Mrs. John W. Cress. He was educated at Mt. Pleasant Collegiate Institute and Newberry College, Newberry, S. C.
