MISS CALLIE WINECOFF BECOMES  BRIDE OF HILLER D. BARRINGER
CONCORD, Oct. 1. – Of interest to a wide circle of friends was the wedding on Saturday evening, September 24, of Miss Callie Winecoff and Hiller D. Barringer at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Winecoff. Only the immediate families of the two young people were present. At the strains of the bridal chorus from Lohengrin the bride and bridegroom entered the living room together and stood under an arch of ivy and white flowers. The ring ceremony of the Lutheran church was used. Rev. E. F. R. Roof, pastor of the bride, officiating.

The bride wore a becoming gown of midnight blue flat crepe with beige trimmings and carried an arm bouquet of white roses and fern.

A two-course buffet supper was served.

Mrs. Barringer is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Winecoff. She is a lively brunette and has a charming disposition which has won her many friends. She was educated at the Kannapolis High School and Mount [sic] Amoena seminary at Mt. Pleasant.

Mr. Barringer is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Barringer, of Mt. Pleasant. He is a former student of Mount Pleasant Collegiate Institute.

For the present Mr. and Mrs. Barringer are making their home with the bride’s parents.

KANNAPOLIS — Mrs. Callie Winecoff Barringer, 95, died June 17, 1998. Service is 4 p.m. Friday at Center Grove Lutheran Church. Visitation is 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday at Whitley’s Funeral Home.
