Thursday evening, on North Main street, at the home of her father, Capt. Jonas Cook, Miss Leila Cook, one of Mt. Pleasant’s most popular young ladies, will be married to Mr. Chas. D. Cobb, an alumnus of N. C. College of the class of ’95. The marriage ceremony will be performed by Rev. J. A. Linn, a few minutes after 4 o’clock. The happy couple will leave immediately for McLeansville, N. C., the home of the groom. Mr. Cobb has been engaged in teaching at that place ever since his graduation in ’95. May a long life full of joy, happiness and contentment be granted these young people.
